DermShield

Directions for Use:

  1. Gently clean and pat dry the tattoo and surrounding area, ensuring there is no soap or any residue on the skin.

  2. . With clean hands, remove Derm hield from the sterile pouch. Cut the DermShield to cover tattooed area plus a 1 to 2 inch margin from the edge of the tattoo.

  3. . Peel off backing to expose adhesive side and position the DermShield over the tattoo with the adhesive side facing the skin.

  4. . Gently apply using light pressure, starting from the center to the edges to eliminate air bubbles. Do not stretch the DermShield during application.

The first DermShield application should stay in place for 24 hours, depending on level of exudation. It is normal for blood and fluids to collect under the bandage.

A second application can be used for several days, and a third application may be used if necessary.

Gently clean and dry the area between applications. Do not wear any piece longer than one week.

Directions for Removal:

Gently peel the Derm Shield by pulling it slowly from the edge back over itself. Do not pull the bandage upwards.

Traditional Method

  1. . 3-4 hours after your appointment, gently remove the bandage that was put on. Your new tattoo needs to breathe.

  2. . Wash gently with a mild antibacterial soap, like Dial Gold, and water only. Do not use a washcloth, loofah or sponge to clean your tattoo.

  3. . Air dry or pat dry, with a paper towel only.

  4. . Use a suggested moisturizer and gently smooth on an even layer. We will suggest non-scented lotions, or our own, Tattoo Afterlife, which is made from all natural ingredients and essential oils.

  • DO NOT submerge your tattoo in water, no swimming, no baths, no hot tubs, for two weeks. Showers are fine, the gym is fine.

  • *DO NOT allow direct sunlight for two weeks. No sunbathing, no tanning beds. Be sure to cover if you are going to be in direct sunlight.

  • **EXPECT...itching, scabbing, flaking, swelling...do not pick, scratch, peel, sunbathe, hot tub or take the advice of friends or family.

  • ***Your artist will provide instructions before you leave, and now you have a written copy!!

Tooth Gem Aftercare

After Treatment Instructions:

  • Only drink water for 12 hours after application.

  • Avoid coffee, tea or soda for 12 hours after application.

  • No smoking or vaping for 24 hours after application.

  • Do not eat for 1 hour after application.

  • Avoid hard foods for 24 hours after application.

  • Eat soft food only for 12 hours after application.

  • Don't play with or pick at your new gem with your fingers or tongue.

  • Do not brush your teeth for 12 hours after application.

  • Smile a lot, so you can show of your best accessory!!
